Mirthe is a psychologist in training as a BIG registered healthcare psychologist (in Dutch: psycholoog i.o. tot GZ-psycholoog) at Grip Psychologen and graduated from the Maastricht University in 2011 with a degree in Mental Health Sciences. Since her graduation she has always worked in addiction care, where she gained extensive experience in the treatment of addiction and various other psychological problems, both individually and in groups. Mirthe works with cognitive behavioural therapy in combination with EMDR and parts of ACT (Acceptance & Commitment Therapy) and schema-focused therapy. She is currently training to become a cognitive behavioural therapist and she is a member of the Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Therapy (VGCT).
Mirthe is also one of our trainers for the group 'Strengthen your self-image'.
Mirthe works at our practice in the city centre on Mondays and Tuesdays, and at our practice in Amsterdam West on Wednesdays. As of July 2022 she will be working on from home (videocalling) on Thursdays instead of Wednesdays.
