Group training Mindfulness based cognitive therapy

A new group training mindfulness based cognitive therapy is expected to start in the summer of 2024 which you can sign up for!

Mindfulness means to focus your attention on the present moment with a curious, accepting and open attitude.

The training teaches you to become aware of these automatic reactions and to deal with your symptoms, thoughts and feelings in a different way. This new and 'open' awareness make problems become more manageable and enables you to stand in life in a freer way and to make better use of your qualities.

The training consists of 9 sessions of 2 hours and takes place in a group. Each session takes place according to a fixed structure and has its own theme. The training is preceded by an individual intake interview.

In mindfulness based cognitive therapy, the learning of a skill is the main goal. It is not a therapy or counselling group. The best way to learn is to practice and experience a lot. Therefore, the trainer will ask you to take 30 to 45 minutes a day to practice at home during the training. The goal is to integrate what you have learned in daily life, for which you can use the workbook and audio material. After completing the training, you will be able to apply the newly learned skills independently.

The next training will take place on:
