Are you experiencing extreme tension during a game which hinders your ability to deliver an optimal performance? Do you have an inability to focus due to insecurities or does fear of failure stand in your way during a game? Sports psychology aims to get athletes to their optimal state of performance: a state of mind in which one learns how to deal with tension or loss of focus and therefore learns how to increase performance. Performance does not only depend on fitness, tactical insight or technique, but also on achieving the right mental state. Mental training will teach you how to achieve this state.
Individual mental training at Grip Psychologen starts with an intake interview with one of our mental trainers. Together you will set your goals for the training. Goals we often work on with athletes are: dealing with tension, improving focus and increasing motivation and self-confidence. A mental traning takes up to 10 sessions on average.

If you have developed psychological symptoms as an athlete and mental training is not sufficient, Grip Psychologen is also the right place for you. Please feel free to contact us for more information.
