Coronavirus update dated 5/11/21

NEWS NOVEMBER 5th 2021:

We follow the advised rules by the Dutch National Institute for Public Health and the Environment (RIVM):

  • Wash your hands properly several times a day and make use of the handlotion on our locations.
  • Grant each other his of her space. 1,5 meters still is the safest distance.
  • Stay home in case of complaints/symptoms and take a test.
  • Make sure there is enough fresh air, for now there is no obligation for the use of facemasks.

BE AWARE: in case of symptoms you need to get tested at the Area Health Authority (GGD). A hometest is not conclusive enough. Await the result and change the session to videocalling in case of a positive result.

Thank you for your understanding.

NEWS OCTOBER 4th 2021:

For now until further notice we will continue our measures as published below on December 15th.

NEWS DECEMBER 15th:

Dear client,

In follow up of the recent developments in order to prevent the further spreading of COVID-19 in the Netherlands, we want to inform you of the measures we have taken at Grip psychologen.

We have made the decision that we will continue our treatment appointments as we have done until now. This means that our therapists work as much from home as possible, however the appointments will take place at one of our locations when needed or in case this is agreed between the therapist and the client.

Grip has as a policy that the intake appointments are held face to face at our practice, since these sessions differ essentially from the treatment sessions. However this is not always possible because the therapist can’t travel to the location or it may get to be too crowded at our practice. You have been notified in the confirmation email of the intake appointment wether your consult will take place online or at one of our locations. In case this has to be changed in any way, we will contact you in time beforehand.

By putting in place the above measures, Grip wants to follow up on the request of the Dutch government and show our solidarity to the members of our society who are in poor health and the elderly people. We believe we can shorten this time of crisis when everyone takes the necessary measures seriously and reduce the devastating impact by doing so.

Thank you very much for your understanding and cooperation.

NEWS OCTOBER 16th:

This update  is directed only at our clients who currently come to one of our locations for the face to face appointments.
We want to inform you of a new measurement we are taking, which is the use of a face mask inside our buildings.
Furthermore hereby a reminder of the other measurements we have in place.
Within Grip psychologen we guarantee the safety by strictly following the guidelines from our national health institute, the RIVM, and the recommendations from the Psychologicial health care field. To be able to follow up on this, we will need your commitment as well.
In case you follow treatment only via video calling, this information is not of importance to you at this point.

We ask you to pay attention to the following guidelines:

  5. Please use the bathroom at home before leaving and bring your own drink from home. At our location Falckstraat 15-29 the restroom is reserved for our staff only. Sincere apologies fort his inconvenience.

NEWS SEPTEMBER 16th:

Dear client,

Unfortunately, it is expected that (suspected) infection with Covid-19 will occur more often, both for our therapists and clients. We do our very best to effectuate appropriate measures and solutions fitting the situation. The most important measure we take is that we offer treatment completely online in case of complaints or contamination. If you or your therapist is infected with COVID-19, we will immediately convert all treatment sessions into online treatment sessions through video calling, in order to continue to offer you an efficient and proven effective treatment. If you do not feel fit enough to come to one of our locations, we would like to ask you to continue the appointments and to participate via online treatment. We will continue to do this as well as much as possible.

If online treatment at home is not possible, you can contact our facility at any time and ask for a room on location (if possible) to follow your appointment online.

Thank you for your effort and cooperation.

NEWS JUNE 5th:

A couple of our psychologists are currently working on location again. Unfortunately, this does not mean that we can receive everyone on location, these spots are very limited. You can always consult with our secretariat whether this is an option. We currently have enough spots available to start treatment via video calling.

NEWS APRIL 8th:

We have made a frequently asked questions page with answers about the coronavirus. You can find it under ''Registration and contact'' - ''FAQ Corona''.

NEWS MARCH 27th:

We are, again, fully acassible by phone. Our waiting time is currently 10 to 12 weeks. If you have to wait longer than 3 weeks for your first appointment (after registration and screening), you can make use of a free online self-help module (Therapieland) to start excercises during the waiting period.

NEWS MARCH 23rd:

At the moment we are less accessible by phone than you are used to from us, you can best reach us via the e-mail address: secretariaat@grippsychologen.nl. In addition, our waiting times may differ from the waiting times on this site and it may sometimes take longer for us to contact you after registration. We are doing our utmost to offer you the best possible help in these times of uncertainty and we ask for your understanding.

NEWS MARCH 16th:

In follow up of the recent developments in order to prevent the further spreading of COVID-19 in the Netherlands, we have made the decision that from Monday 16th of March onwards we will work from home as much as possible.

For our clients, it means that you will receive therapy sessions only via videocalling (Whereby) or over the phone. Our experience is that it provides a good alternative for the sessions on location.

We ask of our clients to contact our secretariat. From there we can determine which way the session can take place and, at if necessary, at which best possible time. If you do not want to follow telephone/online session with us, we are forced to close your file because we, unfortunately, cannot take the responsibility for interrupted treatment. We then ask you to contact your general practitioner.

With best regards.
