Tips for video calling

We increasingly are using video calling and notice that it is important to take a number of things into account, so that the appointment runs as smoothly as possible. This way you and your psychologist get the most out of the sessions.

 

Take a moment to prepare the session.

 Prepare a drink for yourself and make sure you can relax. Provide for a quiet environment with as little as possible distraction.

 

Make sure you have a stable internet connection.

Nothing is more frustrating than a connection that does not work. Let your psychologist know if a stable internet connection is not available for you. We can then look for a solution together.

 

Treat the appointment as if it were an on-site appointment.

This includes: being ready on time for the appointment, dressing as you would if you were to go outside and turning your mobile devices to silent. This way you take the appointment seriously. This is pleasant for you, but also for your psychologist.
